UP Guv to visit Meerut, Aligarh on Apr 22

Lucknow, Apr 19 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Governor T V Rajeswar will visit the riot-hit Aligarh and fire, tragedy-struck Meerut on April 22.

According to Raj Bhawan sources, Mr Rajeswar will visit the riot-hit areas of Aligarh, besides the Victoria Park area in Meerut, where the Trade Fair fire occured. The governor will also visit hospitals to meet those injured in the inferno and the communal flare up.

The District Magistrates of the two districts have been directed to fix time for people delegation seeking to meet Mr Rajeswar during the visit, the sources added.

The Governor has postponed his visit to the two cities scheduled for April 15 last, following the April 14 bomb blasts in Jama Masjid, Delhi to ensure that the district administrations could take extra precautions to see that communal peace was maintained, the sources added.
