UBI increases NRE term deposit interest rates

Mumbai, Apr 19 (UNI) Union Bank of India (UBI), one of India's leading nationalised banks, today revised its interest rates applicable to NRE (Rupee) term deposits upward by more than 25 basis points, a release here today said.

For a maturity period of over one but less than two years and for two years but less than three years, the interest rate has been increased from 6.04 per cent to 6.30 per cent while for deposits for three years and above, it has been revised upward from 6.02 per cent to 6.30 per cent.

The upward revision will be effective from yesterday, stated the release.
