Two women commit suicide

Kolhapur, Apr 19: Two young women allegedly committed suicide in separate incidents in the district.

Police today said, 20-year-old Bhagyashri Abasaheb Misal committed suicide by hanging herself in her house yesterday in Jaisingpur town of the district.

Police said the deceased was reportedly miffed as her parents had scolded her for going to their relative's house without informing them.

In another incident, Savita Shankar Patil (23), frustrated over not being able to get married, committed suicide by jumping into a deep ditch in Titave village of Radhanagari tehsil here, police added.
