Three of in a family shot dead in meerut

Meerut, Apr 19: Three members of a family were killed when unidentified assailants shot them at their home in Daurala village, at the Delhi Haridwar National Highway around 14 kms from here.

A group of armed men opened fire at Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Malkhan Singh (60), his son Ajay (25) and a close relative Rajpal (40) around 0730 hrs, the police said.

Police is suspecting it to be an act of revenge. The family shared feud with Deshpal Singh of the same village whose two brothers were murdered a few months back. Malkhan and Rajpal's sons were sentenced to jail in this connection.

Meanwhile, Police Armed Constabulary jawans have been deployed in the village.
