Suicide bid outside Supreme Court

New Delhi, Apr 19 (UNI) A 38-year-old man today allegedly tried to commit suicide by consuming phenyl outside the Supreme Court, minutes before Union Law Minister H R Bhardwaj was to attend a function there.

Rajesh Gupta, a resident of Ghaziabad, drank phenyl at about 1445 hrs outside the Supreme Court, according to the police.

He was rushed to the RML hospital where he was undergoing treatment.

Sources said he had a fight with his wife and was depressed for the last couple of days.
