Rove gives up White House policy role
WASHINGTON, Apr 19 (Reuters) Karl Rove, one of President George W Bush's most trusted political advisers, is giving up his policy role as part of a White House shake-up, administration officials said today.
Mr Rove has been deputy White House chief of staff for policy development and Mr Bush's top political adviser. His policy role will be taken over by Joel Kaplan, currently the deputy White House budget director, two administration officials said.
