Rapist sentenced to ten years RI

New Delhi, Apr 19 (UNI) A local court today sentenced a man to ten-year rigorous imprisonment for kidnapping and raping an eight- year-old girl in 2003.

Additional Session Judge V R Kedia sentenced Arvind Kumar and also imposed a fine of Rs 7,500 on him.

On November 21, 2003, Arvind Kumar had asked the victim, his neighbour, to accompany him for free meal in a park in Shastri Nagar area of West Delhi.

He took the girl there and raped her. The court had examined 19 witnesses in the case.
