Rao denies booking cases against TDP MLAs

Hyderabad, Apr 19 (UNI) K Keshava Rao, President of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee today denied that the Government had instructed the police to register cases against TDP Legislators for their allegations in the Assembly.

Talking to newspersons here, he said Sarma, Principal Secretary, Irrigation, had only asked the police to enquire into the allegations made by the Legislators.

Mr Rao said opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu had himself admitted in the House that he had deliberately given misleading information to extract correct information from the Government.

Despite the fact, the TDP Legislators had released same documents and this prompted Mr Sarma to refer the matter to the police to know about the veracity of the documents, he added.
