Murli Agro records 93 pc jump in net profit

Mumbai, Apr 19: The Rs 500-crore Nagpur-based Murli Agro Products, recorded a jump of 93 per cent in its net profit at Rs 28 crore in FY 06 as against Rs 14.48-crore last fiscal on a net sales of Rs 510 crore.

A release today said that the earnings per share (not annualised) for FY 06 stood at Rs 39.54 as compared to last year's figure of Rs 20.56.

The company with diverse interests in paper manufacturing, solvent extraction and captive power generation generated net sales of Rs 152.08 crore in Q4 FY 06, up 33 per cent from Rs 114.53 crore in the corresponding period of last year while its net profit increased by 17 per cent at Rs 6.56 crore as against Rs 5.61 crore in Q4 last fiscal.
