Motorcycle rally to spread message against female foeticide
Ahmedabad, Apr 19 (UNI) To tackle the adverse chid sex ratio and female foeticide, Gujarat Urban Development Minister I K Jadeja, will launch a 12-day rally on motorcyles in his Dhrandadhra constituency in Surendranagar district tomorrow, spreading message against sex selective abortions.
''The Matru Vandana Yatra will cover 25 km each day and cover 87 villages in three tehsils of Lakhtar, Vadwan and Dhrangadhra,'' Mr Jadeja told UNI.
He said he will also join the rallyists till Sunday and again for four days from next Thursday.
The rally will be a small beginning for a bigger programme to be launched across the state, he added.
Activists, religious leaders and other ministers will join the campaign.
