McDonald's to pump Rs 400 cr in India over the next 3 years

New Delhi, Apr 19 (UNI) Commemorating its success in India, global food chain McDonald's today announced its plans to expand into the Eastern part of the country with a 400 crore investment.

''Having laid a strong foundation in the country and witnessing a steady growth, we are now poised to accelerate the pace and build an impressive super structure. We will be expanding into Eastern India and moving into the non metro cities,'' McDonald's India, Managing Director Vikram Bakshi told reporters here today, while unveiling their 10 year logo.

McDonald's will be opening restaurants in cities including Benares, Amristsar, Patiala and Kolkata, as part of its second phase growth plans in the Indian market over the next three years.

The food chain company has reported a steady growth rate of 40 per cent Compounded Annual Growth Rate of 40 per cent in the last decade.
