JSW Steel Q4 net rises to Rs 410.68 crore

Mumbai, Apr 19 (UNI) JSW Steel has posted a net profit of Rs 410.68 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 (Q4 FY 05-06) as compared to Rs 404.14 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 (Q4 FY 04-05).

Announcing the results, the Company said its total income (net of excise) is Rs 1957.29 crore for Q4 FY 05-06 where the same was Rs 2192.39 crore in Q4 FY 04-05.

It has posted a net profit of Rs 856.53 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 (FY 05-06) as against Rs 870.11 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 (FY 04-05). Total income (net of excise) is Rs 6563.06 crore for FY 05-06 as against Rs 6698.34 crore for FY 04-05.

In view of amalgamation of Euro Ikon Iron&Steel Pvt Ltd (Euro Ikon), Euro Coke&Energy Pvt Ltd (Euro Coke) and JSW Power Ltd (JPL) with the Company w.e.f. April 1, 2005, the figures for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2006 include the figures of erstwhile Euro Ikon, Euro Coke and JPL and hence, are not comparable with the figures of the corresponding periods.
