Govt to identify job avenues

Srinagar, Apr 19: Concerned over the increased number of unemployed youths in the Jammu and Kashmir, the government has decided to identify job avenues, an official spokesman said.

He said the Employment department has been making all out efforts to identify job avenues for educated unemployed youths of the state, as also to help them compete at the national level.

In this regard, he said, a written and physical test of candidates who had applied for the post of sailors in open category was conducted in the Valley for the first time.

Earlier, the recruitment drives were conducted as a special case with relaxation in marks percentage for the youths of the state.

The educated unemployed youth have appreciated this measure of conducting written and physical tests by the Indian Navy in the Valley.
