Seer case: Jayendrar appears in court for assault
Chennai, Apr 19: Senior Kanchi Acharya Jayendra Saraswati today appeared before a sessions court here in connection with the Auditor Radhakrishnan assault case, in which he is the prime accused.
When the case came up for hearing before Fifth Additional Sessions Judge Ramaswamy, the Acharya, former Kanchi Mutt Manager N Sundaresa Iyer, Raghu, brother of Junior Acharya Vijayendra Saraswati and five others appeared before the court.
Accused-turned-Approver and building contractor Ravi Subramaniam was produced before the court by the prosecution.
The prosecution informed the court that two accused - Appu and Kathiravan - lodged in Cuddalore and Tiruchirapalli prisons respectively, would be produced later in the day.
Stating that another accused, Kumar alias Chinna Kumar had been arrested in connection with another case, the prosecution filed a petition seeking to issue a PT warrant for his production.
The Judge then adjourned further hearing in the case to June 16.
