New Delhi, Apr 19 (UNI) Jagran Prakashan Ltd (JPL), publishers of Dainik Jagran, has announced 28 per cent growth in total income of Rs 483.53 crore for the fiscal 2005-06 as against Rs 377.37 crore in the previous year.
The net profit during the year rose to Rs 32.01 crore as compared to Rs 1.23 crore in the previous financial year.
The company recorded revenue of Rs 130.88 crore, while net profit was Rs 13 crore during the fourth quarter of the last fiscal.
''The advertisement revenue of the company increased by 32 per cent to Rs 306.62 crore, which was driven by increase in local advertising as well as colour advertising. An increase of 8.8 per cent in the number of copies sold has also been recorded during the last fiscal,'' a company statement said here.
The operating margin of the firm went up to 15.8 per cent during the fiscal as compared to 7 per cent in the previous fiscal.
The earnings per share (EPS) stood at Rs 8.37 for FY 2005-06.
During the last quarter, Jagran Prakashan came out with an IPO to raise Rs 321.25 crore.
