Iran issue can be resolved through debate; PM

New Delhi, Apr 19 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today said time is not ripe for any military action against Iran as the issue can be resolved through debate, dialogue and discussions.

'' Dialogue and debate must be allowed to produce results which are acceptable to Iran and the world community. Our emphasis must be always that diplomacy be given a chance,'' Mr Singh told a TV channel in response to the recent statement of US President George Bush that military action would be taken if Iran did not stop its nuclear programme.
