Indian diplomats to meet Nepal King tomorrow
Kathmandu, Apr 19: Indian Prime Minister's special envoy, Dr.Karan Singh and Foreign Secretary Shyam Sharan wil meet Nepal's King Gyanendra tomorrow to convey India's message on the crisis here.
They held talks today with the Nepalese opposition leaders.
The Indian diplomats separately held talks with Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala, former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and general Secretary of CPN UML, Madhave Kumar Nepal.
Talking to journalists after the meeting, they said that they were gravely concerned about the situation in Nepal and hoped that some solution will come out after the meeting with the king.
''I have come to Nepal with a positive attitude. All sides and political parties should have positive attitude, Singh told journalists after the 45 minutes meeting with the Koirala. Koirala refused to give comment about the meeting.
Dr. Karan Singh also met President of Nepali Congress(Democratic) and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and discussed the issue.
"I told them about the alliance-maoists pact and also discussed about the situation of country," Deuba told reporters after the meeting.
Dr. singh also meet UML General Secretary Nepal at his residence in Koteshwar.
Nepal said that they will not accept anything less than constituent assembly elections and also said that no dialogue was possible with the king by sidelining the Maoists. Nepal was detained by the Government and was released today.
