Government employees threaten stir from tomorrow
Imphal, Apr 19 (UNI) The Manipur government employees have threatened to launch a cease work strike from tomorrow to press their demands.
The Joint Administrative Council of All Manipur Trade Unions Council and All Manipur Government Employees Organisation announced here today that the employees were compelled to resort to cease work as the government did not concede their demands.
The demands of the employees include increase in DA, rectification of pay anomaly, regularisation of adhoc employees, revival of die in harness scheme and extension of retirement age from 58 to 60.
The organisation would continue an indefinite cease work strike until their demands were met, it threatened.
