Fabricated sheds for quake victims
Srinagar, Apr 19: Jammu and Kashmir government has earmarked Rs one crore for the installation of fabricated sheds in Karnah sub division for the victims of the October 8 devastating quake, an official spokesman said.
He said the authorities have stored material for construction of 180 pre-fabricated halls for the victims of the quake.
All the fabricated halls are going to be completed during first quarter of the current fiscal year, he said adding these halls will be used for the benefit of the quake victims.
Besides this, five development projects at a cost of Rs 1.17 crore are under execution in the sub Division under rehabilitation programme after last year's earthquake.
He said that Rs 4.36 lakh were incurred for restoration of basic amenities by the Roads and Buildings Department whereas Rs 13 lakh were spent for the renovation of road links and connectivity.
