Cancer Care launched by ICICI prudencial

Chennai, Apr 19: The private insurance firm ICICI Prudential Life Insurance today announced launch of a comprehensive product - Cancer Care - dedicated exclusively for recovery from cancer.

Addressing a press conference here, ICICI Prudential Executive Director N S Kannan said introduction of Cancer Care marked not only the company's, but the industry's first product innovation designed for a specific type of illness.

The product's unique feature was that once taken, it began payment at time of diagnosis, ensuring that the patient and the family had the finances to see them through the illness, right up to recovery.

He said Cancer Care was a unique offering amongst health insurance products and an important addition to ICICI Prudential's already sizeable and market-leading life and pension business.
