Jaunpur, Apr 19: The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) will enact a law, paving the way of Ram temple construction if voted to power in the next Lok Sabha elections, BJP president Rajnath Singh today said.

Addressing a public rally after his Bharat Suraksha Yatra reached this East Uttar Pradesh district, he said that courts could not solve the tangle and only the enactment of law can see a grand Ram temple being constructed at Ayodhya.

''If voted to power in the next Lok Sabha elections, BJP will enact a law which will pave way for construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya,'' Mr Singh promised, adding that the matter has been in the court for a long time, but still remains undecided, proving that the judiciary cannot resolve the matter.

''We demand the revival of the cell immediately,'' the former UP chief minister said.

On terrorism, Mr Singh demanded that the UPA government take immediate steps to demolish the terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan. ''The centre should impress upon the Pakistan government to destroy all terror camps across the LoC,'' he stressed.

Taking a dig at UPA government on the naxalite issue, Mr Singh charged the centre with failing to tackle the menace as 220 ditricts were presently naxal affected. He also claimed that the naxal extremists were striving to create a ''Naxal Red Corridor' spanning fron Nepal to Hyderabad, with the support of ISI.
