Bharatmatrimony ties up with Postal Department

Chennai, Apr 19: Bharatmatrimony Pvt Ltd, leading matrimony portal in the country, has signed an agreement with the Department of Posts for a unique matrimony retail initiative.

CEO of Bharatmatrimony J Murugavel told reporters here today that under this agreement, the company would provide registration and membership services through the head post-offices across the country. These post offices would sell membership scratch cards and registration forms of the company.

Launching the cards, Principal Chief Postmaster General, Tamilnadu Circle, Ms Vatsala Raghu said the company would create new happy families through the Department of Posts.

She said the department would undertake this service as a sort of retail postal services, like Wesern Union Money Transfer selling educational application of various universities etc.

Under this agreement, she said 672 post offices including 92 head post offices in 17 postal circles of Tamilnadu would sell membership scratch cards.
