Bank Director arrested trying to escape
Hyderabad, Apr 19 (UNI) One of the directors of Krushi Bank, accused in the multi-crore bank scam, was arrested by Immigration personnel at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport here, while trying to flee the country.
The accused Director K Ramesh was in receipt of conditional bail on May 21, 2002, from Andhra Pradesh High Court, with conditions not to leave twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad and to report before the Crime Investigation Department Deputy Superintendent of Police on first Monday of every month. He last reported before CID on Monday.
Yesterday, Ramesh tried to escape to Bangkok via Colombo by a Sri Lanka Airlines flight from Hyderabad but the vigilant immigration personnel at airport nabbed him.
The immigration personnel later informed CID after effecting seizure of travelling documents of the accused.
The CID is now taking up follow -up action for the cancellation of his bail in the state High Court, a CID release said.
