ABL Bio-technologies launches "Invia Health"

Chennai, Apr 19 (UNI) ABL Bio-technologies Ltd, a city based technology intensive company on bio-manufacturing today launched their new Pharmaceutical Division "Invia Health" for producing a basket of products that addresses the comprehensive management of diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and Gastro-intestinal disorders.

Soon after the launch, Company's Chairman and Managing Director K O Isaac told newspersons here that this launch will help them to move up the value chain-from developing formulations for the health care industry to marketing its own formulations to the healthcare fraternity.

He said the new division has been formed after 15 years of resarch in the related field and have 400 formulations at present.

Mr Isaac said they have developed a strong bonding with the health -care sector over the last few years and by launching the INVIA, they would become more focused on the needs of clinicians and patients.

He said their new venture will stay tuned to the changing needs of the clinicians, as well as the merging aliment patters for tuning its products portfolio.

He said the new products will be available in southern states in the next few months and within a year, it would be made available to all the retail outlets throughout the country.

He said the company's turnover is Rs 14 crore in 2005-06 and it is projected to touch Rs 25 crore during the current year.

G Subramanian Founder Director of the National Facility for Marine Cyanobacteria, Bharathidasan University Tiruchirapalli and Director of the Company looking after the R&D sector said the company's research targeted marine and terrestrial for bio-chemicals, finding application in the areas of nutrition, cosmetic, pharmaceutical and industrial intermediates that have consistantly recorded a growth rate in excess of 50 per cent.

They were expected to maintain the growth rate over the next decade, Dr Subramanian added.
