1 killed, 19 hurt as lorry hits bus

Thrissur, Apr 19 (UNI) The driver of a lorry was killed and 19 injured when the vehicle collided with a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRC) superfast bus at Kadavallur near Kunnamkulam in the district today.

Police said the deceased was identified as Ipe (38) of Kollam.

The injured bus passengers and the conductor have been rushed to various hospitals.

The rice laden lorry was proceeding to Kozhikode from Thrissur while bus was on its way to Thiruvananthapuram from Kasaragode when the mishap occurred.
