South Dinajpur EC showcauses 31 lecturers of Balurghat college

Balurghat, Apr 8 (UNI) South Dinajpur Election office has sent show-cause notices to 31 lecturers of Balurghat college yesterday without issuing appointment letter for training.

Balurghat Constituency SUCI candidate Sagar Modak's name was also in the list.

The lecturers alleged that the Election office had show-caused them without sending the appointment letter for training.

At least 12 Group-C&D staff of Buniadpur FCI Godown had been show-caused as they denied the letter.

The Election Department is training the employees of various government departments, leaders and the contesting candidates before the assembly polls in West Bengal.

Laxmiram Hembrom of the Congress, contesting from Tapan constituency, had received his letter for training, one day before he submitted the appointment letter.

District Magistrate and District Election Officer Syed Sarfaraj Ahmed admitted that they have received the allegations and assured to look into it.
