Musharraf cheers as Pak bowlers tighten noose around India
Abu Dhabi, Apr 18 (UNI) While the men in blue and green fought it out in the middle, it was Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf who was the cynosure of all eyes as he turned up at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium for the first of the two India-Pakistan ODI matches here today.
Decked up in a grey suit, Gen Musharraf, also chief patron of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), was here for the charity matches, proceeds from which will go to the victims of last year's earthquake in Kashmir.
In the VVIP enclosure, Gen Musharraf was accompanied by ICC Chief Executive Malcolm Speed, PCB chief Shaharyar Khan, BCCI President and Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar and politician Amar Singh.
And the General proved a lucky charm for the Pakistani bowlers out there in the middle as they mowed the Indian top order and had Rahul Dravid's men reeling at 72 for four at a stage.
