Gawli aide Ghate remanded to police custody till April 29

Mumbai, Apr 18 (UNI) A local court today remanded Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation(BMC) corporator and aide of Gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli, Sunil Ghate police custody till April 29.

Ghate had been arrested in an extortion case on March ten.

Police had already booked two others-Sadanand Panchal and Raja Khadvilkar--under MCOCA last week and they were remanded to police custody till April 29.

Ghate, who was booked under the stringent provisions of the MCOCA on April 15, was produced in the MCOCA court today after obtaining a production warrant.The remand order was pronounced by Judge Ashok Bhangale.

Gawli and another aide of his are also wanted in the case.
