Pakistan to sell 10 bln rupees of long-term PIBs
KARACHI, Apr 17 (Reuters) Pakistan will sell this quarter 10 billion rupees of its long-term Pakistan Investment Bonds (PIBs), of which six billion rupees would be made up of fresh issues, a senior Finance Ministry official said on Monday.
''We have decided to sell 6.0 billion rupees of fresh three-, six- and 12-year PIBs, while we will reopen 4.0 billion rupees worth of the last 10-year issue,'' Ashfaque Hasan Khan, director general of the Finance Ministry's Debt Management Office, told Reuters.
''We have sent a letter in this regard to the State Bank of Pakistan, who will most probably announce a date tomorrow and hold the auction 15 days later,'' he said.
