New Delhi, Apr 17: Larsen&Toubro Ltd, India's largest construction and engineering company, today said it had bagged a Rs 581 crore contract to build a fuel management facility at the Kuwait airport.

The order, by Kuwait Aviation Fuelling Company (KAFCO) for its new fuel depot project at Kuwait International Airport, has to be completed in 24 months.

The company will be engaged in installation of new pumping units at MAA Refinery, laying of cross country jet fuel pipeline from the refinery to fuel depot, construction of six 33-m diameter and ll m high fuel tanks at the new storage depot and installation of an interconnecting pipeline from the new fuel depot to existing hydrant system of the airport.

It will also undertake construction of headquarters building, providing depot control system with associated instrumentation works and the complete electrical system including the total power backup facilities.
