Kollywood actor MP Sarathkumar joins AIADMK with wife Radhika

Theni, Apr 17 (UNI) Ending a week-long suspense, disgruntled DMK Rajya Sabha MP, Kollywood actor R Sarathkumar today joined the ruling AIADMK along with his actress-wife Radhika.

The actor couple, met AIADMK Supremo J Jayalalithaa, who was on a campaign trail in this southern district, and joined the party along with about 1000 of his supporters.

Ms Jayalalithaa admitted them into the party and issued the membership cards.

Ms Radhika was clad in a green saree, the favourite colour of the Chief Minister.

Before leaving for Madurai enroute to Theni, Sarathkumar, in a fresh letter to DMK President M Karunanidhi this morning, announced that he was resigning both from the primary membership of the DMK and also as the Rajya Sabha Member.

Sarathkumar had, on April 10, announced that he was resigning from the primary membership of the DMK.
