40 school children injured in road accident

Hyderabad, Apr 17: Forty school children were injured when the school bus in which they were travelling hit a parked state-owned Road Transport Corporation bus in Shivarampally Road on the city outskirts today.

Police said the mishap occurred when the school bus carrying 120 children from Aramghar to Bahadurpura hit the bus near Shivrampally.

Twenty students were admitted to Osmania General Hospital for treatment and 20 others were sent to local hospitals.

The driver of the school bus was allegedly drunk, police said.
