Former MP Naik injured

Srinagar, Apr 17: Former Jammu and Kashmir Assembly speaker Ali Mohammad Naik and senior National Conference leader Ali Mohammad Naik were injured in a militant attack in south Kashmir today, official sources said.

They said Mr Naik's guard was killed and another guard injured.

Initial reports said militants sprayed bullets on Mr Naik's vehicle at Tral, in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.

Mr Naik, former MP, was injured.
