Delhi HC grants anticipatory bail to Sadhu Yadav in flood scam

New Delhi, Apr 17 (UNI) The Delhi High Court today granted anticipatory bail till April 24 to Lok Sabha Member Sadhu Yadav, who is wanted in connection with the flood relief scam in Bihar.

Justice B D Ahmed granted anticipatory bail to Gopalganj Lok Sabha member Anirudh Prasad alias Sadhu Yadav, the brother-in-law of Railways Minister Lalu Prasad.

On February 17, the High Court had stayed the arrest of Yadav and directed him to approach the appropriate court in Bihar.

Yadav had moved an anticipatory bail application before the High Court apprehending his arrest in the 1999-2000 flood relief scam.

Counsel K K Manan appearing for Yadav argued that the MP was falsely implicated in the case due to political vendetta by the JD(U)-BJP in Bihar.

Special Judge (Vigilance) R N Prasad in Patna had issued an NBW on February 13 against the MP in the multi-crore rupees flood relief scam on the prayer of the vigilance bureau which had quizzed him in December last year, about his links with Santosh Jha and other accused in the case.
