Body of brother of top Iraq Sunni leader found
BAGHDAD, Apr 17 (Reuters) The body of the brother of top Sunni politician Saleh al-Mutlak was found in the Baghdad morgue today three weeks after he was kidnapped, Mutlak and Interior Ministry officials said.
Interior Ministry sources said Taha al-Mutlak had bullet holes in his head. Saleh al-Mutlak heads an Arab nationalist list which has 11 seats in the Iraqi parliament.
The discovery of the body comes at a sensitive time when Iraq's Shi'ite, Kurdish and Sunni leaders are struggling to form a unity government they hope can avert a sectarian civil war.
Last week, the brother of leading Sunni politician Tareq al-Hashemi was gunned down.
