One killed, three jawans injured in naxal attacks

Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh Apr 16 (UNI) A 50-year-old man was killed and three CRPF jawans injured to by Naxalites in separate incidents in Dantewada district, police said today.

The ultras dragged Hemala Kudra out of his house and took him along with them. Later, he was killed.

In a separate incident, naxals blocked Avapalli Usar road by felling trees and triggered two landmine blasts in Dabaiguda village when CRPF jawans were approaching the area injuring three personnel.

Besides, extremists stopped some businessmen on way to Bhopalpatnam market and looted their vehicle. However, the naxals fled as police reached the area. Both sides exchanged fire but no casualty was reported. Police seized the vehicle.

The rebels also fired shots on a passenger bus heading from Bhopalpatnam to Jagdalpur. The driver, who understood the situation, changed the bus' direction and reached the police station.
