Centre seeks report on Naxal attack from Chhattisgarh govt
New Delhi, Apr 16 (UNI) The Union Home Ministry has sought a report on the Naxal attack on a police check post in Chhattisgarh today in which eleven security personnel were killed.
A Home Ministry spokesman said the Ministry is in constant touch with the state government.
''Pursuit of culprits is on and the state government has assured the Centre that all necessary action will be taken,'' the spokesman said.
The state, over the last three months, has witnessed the largest number of civilian casualities in naxal attacks.
Naxalites had killed 11 security personnel and seriously injured four others during the attack on a police check post at Murkinar village in Dantewada district's Bijapur Police district of the state.
They also looted more than 40 rifles, including AK 47, and hundreds of cartridges.
