Army jawans, passengers clash on Jodhpur Express train

Ferozabad, Apr 16 (UNI) Tension prevailed on board the Jodhpur-Howrah Express train, following a clash between army jawans and general passengers at the Tundla railway station here last night, police sources today said.

Government Railway Police (GRP) sources said here that the clash took place when the army jawans reportedly prevented passengers from stepping into a reserved compartment of the Jodhpur bound train at the Tundla railway station.

Getting to know of the incident, the GRP personnel reached the spot and controlled the situation from worsening any further. The train, however, left for its destination after an hours delay.

Meanwhile, GRP sources further revealed similar clashes between jawans and passengers ensured on trains in other parts of Uttar Pradesh including Allahabad, Jhansi and Bareilly.
