800 people take ill as mosquito menace troubles Guj village

Jamnagar, Apr 16 (UNI) Some mosquito-transmitted illness is plaguing Salaya village, about 80 km here, where about 800 people have reportedly fallen ill over the past few days.

According to the district health officials, of the 800 patients, 700 were examined and treated as outdoor patients. However, some seven seriously ill patients were sent to the civil hospital at nearby Khambhalia town for further treatment.

Health officials said following this, a team of ten doctors and paramedical staff with medical facilities and medicines was sent to this village this morning.
