4 killed in factional clash of NSCN, 7 injured

Kohima, Apr 16 (UNI) At least four NSCN cadres were killed and seven injured in a clash between factions of NSCN at Hongphoi village in Mon district.

'Kilonser of Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP)' A Z Jami said in a statement here today that the clash ensued when a group of 30 NSCN-IM cadres launched an attack on their Naga army camp.

Mr Jami claimed that three NSCN-IM cadres were killed and four injured in a gunbattle.

Meanwhile, in a separate statement, the NSCN(K) ceasefire supervisory board chairman Kughalu Mulatonu alleged that the NSCN-IM cadres never hesitated to 'disrupt' peace after getting training from the Al Qaeda in Torah Borah in 2004.

Mr Mulatonu contrarily said one NSCN(K) cadre was killed and three were injured.
