Three bookies arrested

Bhopal, Apr 14 (UNI) Police have arrested three bookies for allegedly accepting bets for the ongoing one day international between India and England in Indore today and seized Rs 51,000 and 30,000 dinar from them.

Superintendent of Police said following a tip off, police raided a house at Talaiya area here and arrested the bookies -- Atik and his brothers Rafiq and Naim.

Besides cash, betting slips and two mobile phones were seized.

During the raid, the accused made an unsuccessful bid to attack police.

One accused is absconding.
