Tarigami for operation of Lahore, Karachi, Srinagar flights

Jammu, Apr 15 (UNI) A group of representatives, intellectuals, journalists, writers and social activists from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK) who are on a goodwill mission to Jammu and Kashmir met CPM leader M Y Tarigami here last evening.

Mr Tarigami, during the interaction emphasised that the time has come to strengthen the process of peace so that people of Kashmir are able to restart their economic activities, which have suffered heavily during the last 17 years.

He said the Valley has not progressed much in the last few years and all intellectuals, economic experts and learned persons have to ponder over how the situation is properly dealt with so that whatever has been destroyed during the last 17 years is rebuilt within shortest possible time.

CPM MLA emphasised the need of making Kashmir a trade zone, with free flow of trade from all adjoining borders. He said that with the bus service operating, there should be no difficulty in operation of Lahore, Karachi and Srinagar flights. He hoped that these flights would prove beneficial for people to people interactions and trade.
