Jama Masjid Imam demands CBI probe into twin blasts

New Delhi, Apr 15 (UNI) Jama Masjid Shahi Imam Syed Ahmad Bukhari today demanded a CBI probe into the twin blasts at the historic mosque in which 14 people were injured.

The Imam told reporters that he asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who visited the Jama Masjid this evening, to order a thorough probe into yesterday's blasts.

He also said he had requested Dr Singh to include the blasts at the Sankat Mochan Mandir in Varanasi into the probe by the investigating agency.

The Prime Minister agreed with the demand and said he would look into it, he added.
