Iran has no chance of producing N-weapons: Russian army chief
Moscow, Apr 15 (UNI) The Chief of General Staff of Russian armed forces, Gen Yury Baluyevsky, today said Iran had no chance to develop its own nuclear weapons.
''I can tell you with all confidence that what Iran is doing now will not enable it to develop nuclear weapons either in the near or in the distant future,'' Gen Baluyevsky told reporters.
Speaking on whether Iran's uranium enrichment efforts posed a threat to Russia's southern territories, Baluyevsky said, ''I don't see such a threat''.
''In my view, all Iran is doing in this area is aimed at preventing the use of force against itself,'' he added.
