Gov condemns Srinagar blasts
Jammu, Apr 15: Jammu and Kashmir Governor Lt Gen S K Sinha has condemned the grenade blasts in the summer capital Srinagar and expressed sympathies with the families who have lost their dear ones.
Describing such incidents as ''lunatic acts'' of those who have no regard for human values, he said terrorism or such barbaric acts have no place in a civilised society.
General Sinha said people of Kashmir have vehemently rejected terrorism would not deter them from their chosen path of peace and normalcy.
''What an irony that these blasts have been caused on the auspicious day of Friday following Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi and Baisakhi and those who fell prey were mostly civilians who have been facing the brunt of terrorism for over a decade and a half,'' he added.
