Giles' hip likely to be operated again

london, Apr 15 (UNI) England spinner Ashley Giles might have to undergo another hip surgery to save his career after he failed to recover within time from the injury, which forced him out of the tour of India.

The left-arm spinner has shown little improvement in his body movements nearly four months after he first had an operation on his right hip after doctors detected early signs of arthritis.

The Daily Telegraph reported that Giles may have to sit out of the forthcoming tour of Sri Lanka due to the slow recovery from the career threatning injury.

The newspaper said the spinner would be meeting Dr Richard Pillar, who operated him the first time, and England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Medical Officer Dr Peter Gregory next Thursday to seek a fresh analysis of his injury.
