Criminal lynched in Sasaram

Sasaram, Apr 15 (UNI) A criminal was lynched, while two others were injured, at Khuji village under Nokha police station of the Rohtas district today.

Police said acting on a tip-off, a sleuth of local police raided the hideout in Khuji village to arrest the criminals, who opened fire on the police personnel.

The anti-socials tried to flee when police retaliated in self-defence.

Meanwhile, local villagers also chased the criminals and overpowered them. One criminal Gopal Ram died on the spot while the other one Kismat Ram sustained injuries after the villagers beat them severly.

The injured criminal had been admitted to a local hospital.
