Bomb scare in Godhra town, turns out to be hoax
Godhra, Apr 15 (UNI) A telephone call to the police control room here that four bombs had been placed in a post office and three banks sparked-off panic among the authorities and the customers, but it turned out to be a hoax.
Bomb disposal squads and police teams launched extensive searches at the head post office, a State Bank of India branch on Chitra road and in two branches of Bank of Baroda, after a call was made to the control room this morning. Sniffer dogs were deployed in the operation.
Bank officials and all employees were evacuated from the premises as the search operations were conducted.
However, no bombs were found, police said.
