Balaji, Archana win HT-AITA under 16 tourney

New Delhi, Apr 15 (UNI) Third seed Sriram Balaji of Tamil Nadu showed an all round display to beat giant killer Karunuday Singh from the Capital in the boys singles final HT-AITA National Junior Tennis Series (U-16) here today.

Balaji overwhelmed Karunuday 6-1, 6-4 in just about an hour.

The girls singles crown went to top seed Archan V of Andhra Pradesh who pipped seventh seed Tanvi R Shah from Maharashtra 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.

Andhra's T Niliya and M Divija annexed the girls' doubles title defeating Rashmi Teltumbde of Maharashra and Gopika Kapoor of Delhi 6-3, 6-1.

In boys' doubles event, Andhra's B Vikram Reddy paired with Vikjayant Malik of Chandigarh to edge past Balaji and Delhi's Venkat Iyer 6-2,4-6,6-2.
