31 persons convicted in fodder scam
Ranchi, Apr 15: A special CBI court today convicted 31 people, accused of the multi-crore rupee fodder scam in Bihar few years ago.
Special Judge S N Prasad convicted these people and ordered rigorous imprisonment and fine in connection with illegal withdrawl of Rs 1.05 crore from the Ranchi treasury for fake fodder supply.
Another CBI court has convicted 49 accused of another scam on April 12.
The scam, which include several political bigwigs of undivided Bihar in its list, had compelled the then Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav to step down.
